There were a lot of JD Camiras that appeared in the show within a very short period of time (in the final 1986 season). 4 different ones appeared: Episode 626: This silver SL/X model was owned by Andrew Hinton, a man that Joan Ferguson was seeing. He was eventually run over and killed by criminals who were trying to "send a message" to Joan. ![]() ![]() Episode 654/679: This yellow model was driven by Rodney Adams, the young new prison trainee officer who was disliked by almost everyone. For some reason, being in his 20s and on a prison trainee salary, he was able to afford a brand-new mid-size Holden. ![]() ![]() The blue Camira in the main photo (episode 653) was stolen from someone's driveway by prison escapee Lorelei Wilkinson. -- Last edit: 2014-10-18 09:07:29 |

I have to say, that car is pretty ugly. The headlights are way too modern for the rest of the car. |

It's design was very modern for the time. Very few cars had fully painted bumpers in 1984, and the lack of a grille also went against design trends at the time. I also find it odd that Holden chose to so radically change the front of the car after only 2 years on the market. Note: every single one of these JD Camiras is a 1985 model based on when their plates were issued. Most were registered towards the end of '85. All of them are mid-grade SL/X trim due to having only one side mirror (top SL/E had dual mirrors and different wheels). -- Last edit: 2022-03-23 11:31:46 |
