The green chassis cab is an Austin WE by the looks of it. Column gear change was an option only on the Farina cars, floor change much better. From the appearance of that bus, plus the Opel, and the Chevrolet truck, I would say not UK. The footage goes immediately to /vehicle_687126.html after this shot if anyone can recognise the scooter plate. The newest vehicles in these shots - also /vehicle_687123.html - are probably the Sept 59 Minx 3a and Magnette (ADO9)?? So a 1960+ truck with some degree of local build?? |

Its probably a newly built chassis/cab being delivered to have a body added. I would even think its a lighter model either 1½-Ton which was export only or 2-ton on a short wheelbase. Local build possibly or UK import that has just left the port-of-entry as the number plate is also tilted and off-centre, suggesting it could be a temporary plate for delivery to the local coachbuilder. |

Why S203 (only one) compared to just 203 (a few)?? And I'd still like to know where it is .... I think this footage came up again recently - maybe original source - but can't find it. |

Its guess either way, S203 single rear wheels 1½-Ton or 2-tonner T203 with the twin rear wheels (203 does not exist) but I think unlikely to be 303 3-tonner. The fact that 1½-tonners were popular in export markets and produced in quantity makes them equally likely as 2-ton. Its probably a recognisable location somewhere but where? Probable location the Carter Bridge, Lagos, Nigeria. Similar number-plates with 'L' as first letter, single-file bicycles riding on the pavement, even the building in the far distance is probably the same. Lane usage seems different 3-inward 1-outward as compared with 2 and 2.
