Some more research has found this is the (quite) well-known Metallurgique-Maybach, seen also here - /vehicle_45849-Metallurgique-Maybach-1907.html - but I am unconvinced by the last comment about 'the head' being replaced. I would have though these engines would have non-detachable heads (I think the cylinders were on blocks of two or three). |
