I do not really see why you put the best picture of the two in thumbnails... why not use that one as main picture, as the other one does not add anything? (the car is less visible) |

I believe all post-1971 models both 6-cylinder and V8 models had the two raised areas on the bonnet. According to Austin-Rover.co.uk the only way to identify the V8 engined cars (other than badging) was by the large air-intake below the bumper.
