in Germany most pre production test cars are handed over for the TV show Alarm Fur Cobra 11 where they are destroyed in some stunts or blown up |

As it is possible to read on the aronline, at some point, they asked workers what name they prefer, pity it is unknown, when exactly it was. After all as "LC8" they still will be linked with the serial Metros. Or maybe the real (I mean litteral ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-04-15 22:40:44 |

6 years ago I know, I have to however disagree with the statement above. I have documentation referencing MAB623T complete with its Vin/Engine numbers. Beginning SPL AND EDD which aren’t standard vins for any vehicle. |

@MAB623T - which info are you disagreeing with? What improvement do you suggest? Is there a better way of referencing its identity? |

I think it’s referenced correctly, I was referring to weasels comment about being a Mini 1000 that lived that long 🙂. It would be nice to know it’s still around, I just found some documents referencing the car and googled the reg and surprisingly found this 👍. |

Jan 79 registration date was 21 months before Oct 80 launch, so proper name a long way off being decided, and Mini 1000 was probably just a convenient description to avoid attracting unwelcome attention, as well as being fairly true. Plate info suggests it died by Feb 92, presumably scrapped. xAB series were Worcestershire issues, so convenient for Longbridge while disguising Birmingham origin. |

Obviously spies from Tamworth in the Longbridge area around this time? |

Fox introduced 1983, so timing might be a good fit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliant_Fox -- Last edit: 2020-10-16 23:03:58 |

Presumably has been scrapped, the document I have was within a job lot of magazines I’d purchased was surprised to find anything. Interesting to know the differences of registration locations, and see the car they likely disguised it as. |

There's another Worcestershire plate on this Metro proto so seems common practice. |
