1994+ due to grey bumpers + 13" wheels without covers. From 91-93, all 121s in Australia were "high spec" 1.3L models with painted bumpers, mirrors, and 14" wheels with covers (very large wheels for a car this small, considering a VN Commodore at the time also had 14s!). In 1994, a slightly cheaper "low grade" model was introduced which had grey bumpers, mirrors, and 13" wheels without covers, while the high grade model replaced the 1.3L with a 1.5L engine and jumped up a bit in price. At the same time, all models gained the new Mazda logo on the bonnet. Options for this car were very limited, and included an automatic transmission for $1200 and air conditioning for about $2000. Airbags weren't available at all, neither were alloy wheels. Most people chose A/C (especially in later years), but not many paid the extra for the automatic (only about 25-30%). -- Last edit: 2017-05-27 04:52:23 |
