Its not I believe the SB but simply a Bedford C5 Z1 Duple Vista as kudos' comment and as listed here http://www.macbraynecircle.org/HTML_Pages/Vehicles.html Registration: 603 CYS Fleet no.: 179 Year: 1961 Make: Bedford Model: C5Z1 Body: Duple Seating: C29F Status: Restored The Bedford C4 and C5 bus chassis introduced in 1957 were significantly smaller than the SB, seating 29 passengers and based on the C Type truck chassis. Link to "archive.commercialmotor.com" "Duple Motor Bodies, Ltd., however, have gone into production with a forward control successor to this popular series. It is based on the standard forward-control Bedford (C-type) 4-ton chassis, or the 5-ton chassis in the case of the oil-engined model, the wheelbase of which has been lengthened and the frame slightly modified to take coach body mountings." ![]() Read more at Link to "archive.commercialmotor.com" |
