It's an FE in early colour - normally I'd just go for Victor (before VX renaming), but looks 4-light so VX 4/90 as eg /vehicle_606029-Vauxhall-VX-4-90-FE-1972.html |

Early chamfered-corners grille surround Victor, VX/40 or larger. However sidelights below bumper VX/40 or Ventora (but no vinyl roof) and yes [FE] but not VX1800/2300. -- Last edit: 2014-09-19 15:23:40 |

So the "yellow" is rust ..... I'll stick with VX 4/90 but advance date to 74 for side chrome as /vehicle_479656-Vauxhall-VX-4-90-FE-1974.html . But with new pics Ventora still possible - particularly if total roof and C-pillar rust is because a vinyl roof burnt off -- Last edit: 2014-09-20 12:32:52 |

If the new thumbnails show Rostyle type wheels then I think it confirms the VX 4/90 is more likely. From memory the Ventoras had up-market full-diameter bright trim wheels with concentric bright rings and black centres. Although many 'restored' Ventoras are shown with Rostyles the Vauxhall brochures and press photos I can find show the up-market trim wheels for the Ventora. |
