Anyway, according to this, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedford_Vehicles it must be 1939+.

(For what does 'cwt' stand?)

K series- had single rear wheels and long bonnet.
M series- twin rear wheels and long bonnet.
O series- twin rear wheels and short bonnet .

You would be correct thinking they are the same. However the identification of the other truck was incorrect its also a K-type.
