If you take only the pictorial evidence it is not possible to identify the first thumb, not enough evidence to prove the case. Otherwise main pic and two other thumbs are Series III Wolseleys, apparently. As to the exact model, probably the four cylinder one, 12/48, but it's all in the length of the bonnet and the pictures give little help. -- Last edit: 2014-10-06 08:45:29 |

They are both Series 111 Wolseleys,In the main picture it is clear that the headlamps are nearer the bonnet and larger lower than the 12/48's, twin fog and spot lamps and the depth of the windscreen show this to be a 16/65 or 18/85 Series 111.In the first of the other pictures the bonnet catches that are visible were only fitted to 16/65s 18/85s and Super Sixes. I think there are two different cars as the second picture shows overiders on the rear bumper again only fitted on 16/65s upwards while in the third there are none, also the exhaust tailpipe on the offside is usually indicative of a six cylinder so the third one would be a 14/60. -- Last edit: 2015-02-21 21:41:21 |
