The predecessor referred to would be the "Snub nosed" version. The subject van could be fitted with Australian bodywork so I would not put too much reliance on the roof shape, but the flat radiator was introduced in late 1926 for the Cowley and Oxford cars, the vans may have been somewhere between 1929 and 1932. 1932-1935 Morris Light Van 'Flat-Nosed' 8-10 cwt (Cowley based). http://archive.commercialmotor.com/article/4th-august-1931/66/a-capable-van Its length looks completely unsuitable having seen the episode. Its a short 8cwt van with a 4ft 9in length load-space and both the front seats are occupied; so carrying a body on an over six-foot long stretcher would be a problem. -- Last edit: 2016-05-05 20:25:59 |
