Used in the episode as a getaway vehicle for two armed robbers who pulled an armed robbery at Castlemaine, Victoria. The male robber and driver was shot and killed by Superintendent Ashby; Lawson's temporary replacement while the female robber and passenger was shot and wounded. |

I think ep 5.07 is a 1962 model for grille lettering - see this UK import with 699 XUJ plate listed by DVLA as made in 1962. 1959-61 examples online such as this 1961 seem to have smaller letters and further away from the grille. Unfortunately the excellent website in my link above which would have resolved this has disappeared. |

Hi I just bought the standard vanguard ute in the dr Blake mysteries it’s a 1958. The scene can be seen on YouTube dr Blake mysteries series 2 episode 10 at about the 32 minute mark. I intend to restore the car |
