![]() ![]() I vote for 1957 Imperial Crown Southampton 4-door Hardtop - LeBaron have different front fender emblem and Custom Southampton - different headlights. Besides, it looks as a die-cast copy by NEO below (they make very accurate realistic models). Link to "www.mdiecast.com" Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" -- Last edit: 2015-04-26 20:19:27 |

The only exterior difference I know of between a base Imperial and a Crown is the tiny crown used as a dot over the second "i" in the Imperial side nameplate. These little crown emblems also appeared over the headlamps on the front fender tips and below the Imperial name on the trunk lid. A review of all the photos does not show this feature, so I will list as "Imperial" Southampton pending any dissent. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmentd1/9343822669/ -- Last edit: 2015-04-27 00:10:57 |

Did the '57's have Continental-style trunk lids? UPDATE: Looks like they did: http://www.imperialclub.com/Yr/1957/FactoryPhotos/index.htm Or at least the Southampton Coupes did. -- Last edit: 2015-05-06 18:05:30 |
