The front clip is off a 1955 Pontiac, but the main body of the car is something from the '70s, maybe Australian in origin.

Maybe the rear of the car is but the front is clearly from a mid 1950s Pontiac

It looks like they've grafted a '55 Pontiac hood, grille surround and guard tops onto a HT/HK Monaro body. If you look closely you can see that it still has the Monaro front guards.

Aside from the Pontiac parts and the intakes, all the details exactly match /vehicle_810324-Holden-Monaro-1968.html

So either the Pontiac parts are CGI, or they rebuilt the car at some point in the midst of filming.

Definitely the same car - a [HK] Monaro.

It is the same car, they just put the Poncho front clip on with computer graphics to remedy a continuity error; the regular Holden is supposed to be next to the War Rig, but also appears here with the chasing vehicles, so they just changed it up a little to make it look like a different car.
