I thought it could have been a Bel Air. Maybe can somebody explain the major differences |

If there are doubts, I will change this to 'unknown'. |

This is a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air ( series 1500 six or 1800 V8)or at least the glorious remains of a Bel Air :it has the two horizontal strips with a contrasting color in the middle even if the front door and rear fender section are missing.Biscaynes had a single strip just covering the front fender and front door without contrasting color. |

Of course. Only with this 59'Impala an Olsen-Banden-movie is authentic! When there was a movie without it (IIRC the very last of the Danish originals), I switched off immediately. |

Danish Olsen-Banden never used a '59 Impala only Bel Airs and Biscaynes. The last movie was indeed terrible and I wish it had never been made. -- Last edit: 2013-01-13 19:16:38 |

And the Norwegian fakes either Nice for us now due the nice 1970ies cars, but unbearable to watch regulary. |

Ironically, the only movies with a 1959 Impala were two Norwegian ones - see vehicle_246637 and vehicle_237530. |

Two most important Denmark's inputs to world's culture are Olsen-banden and Lego |

It's the same car.... |
◊ 2013-01-13 21:25 |
Uh... yes ... notice that I said a 1959 Impala, not 1959 Impalas |
