Yeah, a 1977-79 Chevrolet, that borrowed a tailgate from a GMC.

Plenty of pickup trucks have had non-original tailgate replacing original ones for whatever reason.

Looks like two different 3/4 ton yellow City Maintenance trucks. One a Chevy & one a GMC. They have different licnese plate numbers.

Are you sure they have two different license plates? I can't really tell. If it's the same truck, then I believe it's actually a GMC as this truck is clearly the lowest trim available. If it was a Chevrolet, it would have the stacked "Custom Deluxe" trim on the name badge, while this one is short enough to just read "Sierra."

Also, I'm not sure about this one, but isn't it sitting quite high for a C-10?

Seems to be bigger wheel and 8-lug wheels.

I would also add this this is long bed stepside version as well...

Seems to have front fender different color to the door.

I think the color is just due to the shadowing.
What does the comment about the bigger, 8-lug wheels have to do with anything? I'm not asking this as a sarcastic question, I'm just not sure if it's relating back to what I said or if it's simply an observation on your part.

8 lug would indicate it is not a ½ ton model (I think rjluna2 was referring that to the C-10 comment that you made f_g)

I suppose my earlier comment about the height had to do more with whether it was a K-Series over a C-Series. But I suppose my eyes are just playing tricks on me. So then it is a C-20?

What do you think about my theory about it being the same truck tonka?

Sorry, ford_guy. I was making an observation, that's all :/

based on the emblem as ford_guy stated I am going to have to agree with him and say that this is a GMC C-25 Sierra with a replacement Chevrolet grille

or is it C-2500 what did we decide on these that are badged as C-25 but the brochures listed them as C-2500?

Most brochures and articles that I've seen for the 1975-1979 trucks do list these with only double digits (Here's an example: http://www.73-87.com/7387info/articles/76k2501.jpg). Plus out of all of them, they're the only ones that do not have the extra "00"'s on the name badge.

This one is equipped with a "Fenderside" bed.
