The third-generation trucks are officially known as the "Rounded-Line" generation "Wideside" bed |

1973-87 C-Series with the 1977-78 grille:![]() (00:40:33) Not Heavy-Duty, but Heavy Half indeed: ![]() From what I understood, it is the sibling of the Chevrolet Big-10, i.e. a 1975-80 ½-ton model with some specs of the ¾-ton truck mostly created to avoid some emission regulation... So this pickup is a 1977-78 ½-ton C-15 (1) with a Wideside (2) bed. @ supcoach: As far as I know, neither Chevrolet nor GMC used the Rounded-line name in their literature. The sources given in the Wikipedia C/K page about this alleged "official" name are either dead links or refer to fans sites, not to any "official" documentation. Like the Action-line name for the previous generation, it's more likely a just a nickname... _____ 1: 2-digit model names from 1975 to 1980. 2: as a single word / without an hyphen from 1977 onward. -- Last edit: 2015-07-24 05:13:08 |
