A useful reminder of the different models is available on this Canadian page (only in French. No Canadian English nor US English equivalent): ⇒ this one is a VNL 670 indeed ![]() _____ 1: 61"/1.37 m = length of the cab, i.e. without the hood? -- Last edit: 2015-09-08 20:01:22 |

What you can also notice is the round badge near the door. That was affixed to all 2007 model year Volvos commemorating 10 years of the VNL series in production. |

Close-up image of said badge. Only found on 2007 model Volvo VNL-series.![]() |

I hope you'll understand that this unsourced detail can't be checked unless doing a lot of pictures comparisons, with the possibility of finding numerous trucks with a wrong model year. Even the picture you provided doesn't say "2007" ![]() You already gave (unintentionally, of course) wrong model years for the identification of some trucks, so I'd like some "stronger" clues to validate it: any Volvo corporate page, or even a mention in a truck enthusiasts site? At least a trustworthy website giving 1997 as 1st year for the VN-Series? |

Not really as I've seen on many occasions here that "unsourced" info is posted and vehicle data is updated anyway. But as far as this is concerned, I have several sources. First: http://www.purplewave.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?131217/G8917 Second: http://www.purplewave.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?150317/K2313/showall Third is actually here on IMCDb.. and you can see said decal: /vehicle_156674-Volvo-VNL-64T-670-2007.html Fourth is my experience. I've driven 2 - 2007 VNL670s with the DOM of July/2006 and November/2006, and they both sported this decal. Now, this company, Knight Transportation based out of Phoenix, AZ, started purchasing these VNLs in 2005 through today. -- Last edit: 2015-09-11 17:22:31 |

Some other admins may trust / have trusted unconditionally what is written in comments and validate it, but I don't. All the more as we all make mistakes sometimes. 1st and 2nd links you give are classified ads, and I saw too much wrong model years given to vehicles in this kind of website: I only take this kind of source with extreme caution, and only as indirect and dubious sources. 3rd is an IMCDb page, without external source, so as trustworthy as a classified ad for me ![]() 4th... I say often that I'm a bear (and use a picture to "prove" it in my profile page), there is for now a flag of the Republic of Nauru to indicate the place I'm supposed to live, but as we never met, should you believe any of these details without proof? ![]() This said, thanks, as "your" classified ads give both a link to Carfax: I eventually and indirectly got the trustworthy source I asked for ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-09-11 23:02:07 |
