I'd say the wide 'silver shade' under bumper is the almost new, double-pipe silencer. Pipes aren't visible at this angle, indeed. |

Still looks like a 1950-52 to me (Canvas roof introduced April 1950, the end of the mid-mounted stop lamp and also the round horn grilles October 1952) (The dual exhaust was introduced with the first Model Year (1956), in August 1955) |

Of course, I know that and I have no doubt it's 1950-1952 car, however with exhaust system (or whole engine even?) taken from later model. It's technically possible and quite easy to do. |

If you brighten the main picture slightly I think you will find there's one single pipe just beneath the right-hand bumper overrider, or horn if you prefer. |
