Goes on my list of Top 5 german car chases. Really long chase going five minutes! Bad guy takes control over the car remotely and goes on a wild ride with the driver. At the end of the chase it crashes through some part of the Berlin Wall. This is funny stuff because this Skoda is a typical East german car and it came out in 1987, so it was available at the Fall of the Berlin Wall. The Berlin Wall is modular so it was pretty easy to take two or three modules from the original place to a backyard somewhere else in Berlin. What you see in Main picture is another famous sight of Berlin: The East Side Gallery. This is the longest still standing part of the Wall. Sadly i only have passed by with my car but i did not visit it. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Side_Gallery ![]() ![]() They used a 1993+ model for the scenes with more speed: /vehicle_852303-Skoda-Favorit-Typ-781-1993.html -- Last edit: 2015-10-10 19:11:23 |

At least two cars were used. One was 1988-1991 (on main photo), second 1993-1994 (most of thumbrials). |

*bump* can an admin please change this to 1988 Skoda Favorit like user 130rapid said? I will give the facelift model an extra page because it has a 3 star role (used for the faster driving scenes). The 1988 model has only 2 star involvement. But its kind of weird that they used the newer model for the last crash and the older model for a simple fender bender. Had the newer model a more powerful engine so it was used for the faster driving? -- Last edit: 2015-10-10 19:13:14 |
