Why Zodiac? I have to ask as I'm not that familiar with the Mk IV. If it's because of the hub caps, I believe they were available on the Zephyr as well; either on a slightly more luxurious model than the entry one or as optional extras. A few examples Link to "www.automobile-catalog.com" , Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" and http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C43567 . |

They were standard on Zodiac. Lots of Mk4 Zephyrs got them, but only as dealer-fit accessories - they were not standard fit - even on the 68+ Deluxe versions which had dummy front grille. The only Zephyr which got them as standard fit was the run-out edition Zephyr Special (November 71, 1000 made) based on Z6 with Uranium Blue metallic paint and Parchment White vinyl roof (the first ever UK use of a white vinyl roof) - http://classiccars.brightwells.com/images/lots/P1210386.jpg . We haven't got one yet, but one day perhaps .... Agree apart from the wheel trims this view could be Zodiac (66-68 before chrome side trim) or Zephyr, but I don't see any reason not to call it Zodiac. |
