The year model is easy to tell on these bad boys… 2003 through 2005 Lexus LX 470 Specific production model… ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-02-16 01:48:37 |

STrange car, do we have this in Europe? |

I’m not sure if Toyota sells the Lexus LX 470 in Europe ... but the vehicle itself is not that strange. It’s just a Toyota Land Cruiser with Lexus emblems. When you buy the Lexus, you are only buying the name. 2006 through Present Toyota Land Cruiser / 2006 through Present Lexus LX 470 ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-02-22 02:34:43 |

Yes, my first thought was a Land Cruiser, but the logo's didn't match. Why would Lexus do that? I thought they are the luxury-brand of Toyota... -- Last edit: 2007-02-17 10:04:16 |

I guess that it is a more luxury version. The Lexus models are sold as Toyota in Japan, no? It is the same for Acura: these are luxury Honda models, which are sold as Honda in Europe & Japan. |

To answer your other question, No Lexus was not originally sold in Japan, but recently Toyota has allowed Lexus to sell their cars there. I think it was 2004 or 2005 that the first Lexus branded vehicle was sold in Japan. -- Last edit: 2008-02-22 02:36:24 |

I do not know for SUV, but some Lexus sedan were sold as Toyota in Japan, no? |
◊ 2007-02-18 21:06 |
Yes, that’s correct. As of now, I think the only vehicles sold in Japan carrying the "Lexus" name are cars… The Lexus LX 470 (even though it is built in Japan) is not sold in Japan at Lexus dealerships’. -- Last edit: 2007-02-19 20:16:45 |
