This one has side mirrors used definitely before May 1981. It could be optional element or older change, however I didn't find which model year. |

The only data I could find concerning Senators with overriders: http://www.senatorman.de/bilder/Senator_a1-026.jpg The Opel Senator 3.0 E was build as in South Africa 1980+ as shown above (with overriders). - Before, it was a Chevrolet Senator with a 4.1 engine from Brazil. -> http://www.senatorman.de/opel_senator_a1.htm -- Last edit: 2016-01-07 19:58:27 |

In UK, it was a trim feature. Oct 78 3.0 CD had over-riders, Nov 79 2.8 Saloon (no letter) did not have them; Oct 80 2.8 Saloon replaced by 3.0 S, which I think did have over-riders. So 2.8 saloon here?? |

http://www.senatorman.de/opel_senator_a1.htm mentions a price list, where overriders are mentioned as "Aufsatzstücke, Stoßfänger vorn und hinten" as optional extra for all trim levels for cost of 90 DM (May 1978) resp. 98 DM (Jan 1981). Concerning the engine, I'd go for the 2.8S, too as there is no badge on the boot. |
