Most probably a Canadian built 1939 Buick.

As far as I know the Buicks for UK came from McLaughlin in Canada fully assembled as I don't think there was an assembly plant.

I guess most likely a Special but we can't be certain.

There was Buick assembly in UK in 1920s and into the 1930s initialy by GM and then through Lendrum & Hartman - "imported 'green' cars ex-Oshawa in 1932 for assembly in their Buick Car Works in Willesden, London, that was originally the Bedford Motors assembly plant." - http://forums.aaca.org/topic/159231-buick-built-in-london-uk/?page=1 . Interesting thread which also lists the various UK Buick models, and mentions Rootes Brothers origins as major Kent dealers in the 1920s who amongst other things sold GM US models then, and in 1925 Rootes Limited was the largest car distributor in Britain.
