Bodywork is by Duple, but the chassis? Can we confirm the registration number? |

The body is probably a Duple 340. But no idea about the chassis/engine. Could be a DAF, Leyland, Dennis, etc. Also, Springfield Coachways is no more, apparently. |

Moi aussi, je dis DUPLE 340 pour la carrosserie. Le reste... |

The registration could be RJX318, now on a Bova Futura, so possibly transferred after 1998 as bus operators like to use registrations that are not year specific. edit: Springfield Coachways continue to be listed as being at Miry Lane, Wigan, Lancashire, WN6 7TG. -- Last edit: 2009-01-13 13:28:40 |

I can confirm that this is an SB230, new to Berryhurst of London as D624 YCX in March 1987. It was indeed registered RJX 318 at the time of filming, the plate now being worn by a Bova Futura FHD12-340 owned by Taylors Coach Travel, Yeovil: Link to "www.flickr.com" |
