Pierce-Arrow was one of the finest automobiles built in America. "The name Pierce-Arrow was once one of the most recognized and respected names in the automobile industry. For 38 years, the Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company in Buffalo, New York, produced some of the finest automobiles made. At the time, Pierce-Arrows could be found anywhere the rich and powerful worked and played. For over 20 years, Pierce-Arrow supplied cars to the White House for the use of the President. They also sold cars to the royal families of Japan, Persia, Saudi Arabia, Greece, and Belgium. Scores of congressmen, ambassadors, governors, businessmen, and entertainers chose Pierce-Arrows for their transportation. A list of some Pierce-Arrow owners is quite impressive." I lifted this from the site: http://www.pierce-arrow.org/ In their final days they were owned by Studebaker. |

Looking carefully at the grill it appears to be a 1931 from the radiator shell. The 1932 had the top portion of the "cap" extend all the way to the outer edges of the shell. In either event I think it has the wrong bumper, it should have two strips going across. 1931: Link to "www.seriouswheels.com" 1932: http://www.cusslermuseum.com/Pictures/109_0901.jpg |

It is 1932 because there is a slight vee to the radiator. A single bar bumper is fine for 1932. |
