Hello Gamer, no problem for me to continue in English ![]() In France there is no public information for cars with numberplates. However, it exists some websites which sells spare parts for cars. In some of them, you can find what is exactly the model of your car by entering your numberplate (it is supposed they have access to car registration documents). The one I usually go on is " Oscaro.com "; with entering the numberplate, it gives you the model and motor of the car. Sometimes there is also more information in the toolbar (that's the case for this ZX "Volcane "). Depending on the model of the car, you can have more or less details. If the numberplate doesn't correspond to any car, it tells you also. Georges |

@Georges - is there a French site which also dates the car?? |

@dsl : There is a site existing which can date the numberplate, that is the registration : http://stni.free.fr/stni_numeros_siv_au_jour_le_jour.html Unfortunately, the registration can be more recent than the car. For example, DB-014-HP numberplate date is 13/12/2013. Edit : There is another site, who was broken for years, but which seems to work now : http://www.moteur-occasion.com - it gives the 1st date of registration of the car (= 1ère mise en circulation). You have to enter the numberplate and select "Moteur" under. => Fiche technique de votre véhicule : CITROEN ZX - Boite 5 vitesses - ESSENCE Immatriculation : db014hp N° série : ............61644 Date de mise en circulation : 1997-03-24 Cylindrée : 1998 cm3 (8 soupapes) -- Last edit: 2016-04-12 01:12:07 |
