Actually there where six types of E12 side mirrors, manually or electrically operated, used between 1977 and 1980. |

Fortunately, no. The US-spec version had some ridiculously big front sidemarkers to compensate for the ugly-as-sin park bench bumpers under which you could mount some hang-me-in-shame type foglights. |
