In the books, the police used newer cars, and at one point it's even stated (by Marv, in A Dame to Kill For) that they used Japanese-made cars, as well as Bel Airs like this one. It seems to vary from story to story, though. -- Last edit: 2011-06-30 23:48:11 |

A Bel Air is also used in Family Values, although it seems more like a '57. -- Last edit: 2012-11-30 01:43:22 |

It's my theory that Sin City exists in a universe where the myth about '57 Bel Airs being produced until 1967 in Southern Illinois is true. http://www.snopes.com/autos/dream/57chevy.asp |

I wish all the police services around world would use the 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air as their patrol cars. -- Last edit: 2015-12-18 09:57:16 |

That would require Chevy still make the '55 Bel Air. |
