Looks to me like a Vauxhall, though the typical flutes are not quite visible. |

V 2948 is a "Prince Henry", from the Beaulieu Motor Museum. As shown here, Link to "www.mamut.com" |

Being a 4 1/2 litre car it is a 30/98 Vauxhall Sports , here a Tourer. The prototype of the 4 1/2 litre model appeared in 1913 , but only 13 units were made before the outbreak of world war I It became available again in 1919.So my view is that 1921 is realistic for this car.A 25 hp Prince Henry 4,0 litre would have been more logical pre ww 1.I have seen pictures of a 1913 Prince Henry model with a licenser license starting with an O. |

I knew I'd seen it before... I visited Beaulieu in 1978 ![]() |

Oops, the Vauxhall mentioned in the catalogue had a 4 litre engine... |

Yes I have checked and it is indeed V 2948 of the Montagu Motor Museum. In my catalogue of the museum dating from 1967 there is a picture of this car being raced at Brands Hatch and it is given as a 1914 ( current 1913-1915) Vauxhall Prince Henry 4,0 litre ( 3969 cc) 4 seater sports tourer. So both the date of first registration and the cylinder capacity of 4 1/2 litre are incorrect on the vehicle details. |

..."Prince Henry" is a nickname, named from 1910 Prince Henry Trial. |

Vauxhall 20hp C-type "Prince Henry" is the best reference I can find for model? |
◊ 2007-03-20 17:26 |
year as I have indicated is 1914 not 1921.Rating was 25 hp. |

First 3054cc model was 20h.p. but it guesses 3969cc 25h.p. (from 1912) as pilou mentioned. The certainty at present is Vauxhall C-type "Prince Henry" ![]() |

@pilou: Hi. How can I get these Reg No. informations ? I own the Vauxhall Big Six Romney Coupe from Passage to Marseille and I would get more informations about the history. The car had an UK Reg Plate, but I´m not sure about the genuine. Maybe the No. is from the Film Studios. Thanks for the Help. Kind regards, Axel |
