1) First 3 pics - for this shot they forgot to put white faked plates on it. 2) The car looks quite fresh - by the details, can it be brand new W461? Since 1993 W461 was assembled in Poland mostly for the army needs. |

3) Round taillamps were to meet on Greek assembled W462: http://www.trackhead.gr/03_refphotos_MBGwagen.html I'm trying to find pic of W460/461 with them, but without success, like for now... It seems W462 was assembled also in Turkey. Who knows, as W462 was code for cars sent abroad in CKD kits, maybe very early Polish assembled "G" also looked this way? On the other hand in cars, which are still in service in Poland, only the squared taillamps are to see. EDIT: Finally a confirmation, in fact Polish assembled MB's also could have round taillamps - they are to see in period military magazine in "Jeż" version of GD 290. -- Last edit: 2017-02-03 20:44:27 |

If really built in Poland, that's a W462. The first period of the W461 was even after 1994 called that way: 290 GD -- Last edit: 2020-04-14 01:46:37 |
