Looks like one of the Rover turbine cars in the foreground. -- Last edit: 2007-03-23 10:30:54 |

Proportions don't look right for Daimler DC27. The front wheel is too close to the cab door. If shot in Belgium might not be British? |

Daimler DC27 has two singular side widows on each rear quarter and the rear swage line is all wrong too. Front end is similar to Daimler or a Humber Pullman but the rear is completely wrong. Will have a look again and get back to you. |

The car looks like 'Jet 1' the gas turbine powered record car. |

Oh yeah, Jet 1 was a Rover |

The ambulance could be an Armstrong Siddeley? I really am stumped |

Could be a Standard Vanguard with an ambulance body, I'm thinking this because of the shape of the front wheelarch. |

An interesting idea. Apparently there was a Standard Vanguard Ambulance but I can only find a picture of a Model produced by Kenna Models. http://www.petekenna.co.uk/KMwebStandard.htm However although I agree about the general shape of the front and the front wing, there are possibly some details that do not match. The front over-hang seems slightly too large the bumper shape looks wrong to me and the door handle position is lower in the main picture. Although the body from the 'B' pillar could vary depending on the ambulance conversion (probably on a pick-up based vehicle), the construction ahead of the 'B' pillar would I think be the same. -- Last edit: 2007-05-24 12:41:35 |

I've got no real basis for this other than a feeling. Perhaps Austin A135 Sheerline? |
