What a magnificent choice of picture rjluna2! Burton on Trent Staffordshire. The premier brewing town in England, due to the gypsum in the soil strata creating top quality water for making beer. Unfortunately most of the brewing done by Coors these days following takeovers, but you don't have to drink their stuff, there's still Marston's Pedigree, and the peerless Burton Bridge Brewery. http://www.marstonspedigree.co.uk/TheBeer.aspx http://www.burtonbridgeinn.co.uk/index.htm -- Last edit: 2016-09-13 14:34:25 |

... and the town where Marmite is lovingly created. And I'll support jfs about Marston's Pedigree - an excellent pint indeed. |

They brew a beer similar to alt bier as found in Düsseldorf, but they sell it in pints. Look at the link, the only outfit that would dare to sell poor beer in Burton on Trent is Coors. |

Maybe, one day, we'll come across the only car built in Burton on Trent, the Baguley. A total of 88 built between 1911 and 1920. |
