Due to the bright trim at the windscreen and these holes at the front fender, I would say this is 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline De Luxe 2-Door Sedan, model 2152. Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" |

Last thumb signifies the end of an incredible street race. Like we saw in early films. |

I am certain this is a 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline 2 door sedan, based on the number of vertical bars in the grille, missing on the 1950 model. My family owned a 1950 Chevy Fleetline 2 door from purchase new to 1966. It was the car in which I learned to drive. My brother had a 1949 Chevy Fleetline 2 door. The trunk handle on the '49 was a T-bar and the trunk handle on the '50 was entirely different. Unfortunately the trunk handle is missing on the car in the movie. With stock brakes and suspension, I wouldn't want to be in this car over 65 mph. |
