SS/Jaguar 100 or replica. Rear looks fishy... |

Could be genuine - 1971 film date was a bit early for the replica craze - and things like the headlights look authentic olde Lucas searchlights. But the rear lights are much newer. BTF 16 was Feb 1937 issue. |

The forward slash between SS and Jaguar is not needed. Late Morris Minor rear lights. |

The Minor rear lights suggest it might be chassis 49014, a Dec 1937 car also registered as BG 6244 (issued Birkenhead, end 1937), but with odd plate info now We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided JAGUAR OTHER 1936 Registration number: BG6244 Body type: Sports Colour: White Date of first registration: November 1988 and Check the MOT history of a vehicle Registration number: BG 6244 Vehicle make JAGUAR Vehicle model SS 100 Date first used 30 December 1936 Colour White MOT history of this vehicle Test date 14 June 2006 Expiry date 13 June 2007 Test Result Pass Odometer reading 60,149 miles. I think I prefer the registry date - chassis 49017 appears there as another Dec 1937 build. The BTF 16 plate was a Lancashire issue, so matches the idea of a Birkenhead-based car. |
