 PS - while trying to find an online copy of Midland Country I stumbled on 1947 film Midland Journey mainly about Birmingham, with some interesting footage - Wolseley and BSA bike factories, shedloads of buses etc. Would try to post it but it's too protected to download or take captures from. But if anyone else can get past the barriers, go for it.

 What a pity, would be a change from the constant repetition of London footage. Despite my nom-de-plume, I have to admit to having entered the world via a nursing home in Edgbaston, and to spending the first two years of my existence in Quinton. I also worked at 65 New Street in the 1960s, that part of the city was still almost as seen in this film.

 In addition to BFI's own website its available as "Midland Journey (1947) BFI National Archive" on youtube which normally can be downloaded.

Its of no specific interest to me (except the Wolseley factory) and too many film projects that I have captures for but failed to start to upload; so anyone could take it on.
