Lazy me who quote this en.wiki page of the movie. Well, that's not bad, and even a bit better than a good, say, Kraft Suspense Theatre episode. I compare with TV for its "radio origin" seems to formate the movie as a pre-TV feature (frames, studio work and the short duration, all contribute to this feeling in retrospect). Richard Dix (who is playing a different part in each of the seven of the "Whistlers" he made) is good, slow and weary: … and Janis Carter, though with brief screen time, is cute and sparky: (We'll see her later in her career in the interesting I Love Trouble.) There is also Paul Guilfoyle (Limpy) and John Calvert (Eddie Donnelly), this one not above the most cliché-ed villains. In no way great, but rather entertaining. Now, about the copy and the pics I inflected you. Well… the important is to make sort of anchors with the time tags, see? One day, a pristine BluRay version will appear from the Sky and half the job would have been done, then. Ne me remerciez pas, tout le plaisir est pour moi. Oh, rjluna2, ceci est pour toi : (Columbia studio lot, 1944.) NB : this episode is based on the story "Dormant Account" by Cornell Woolrich. -- Last edit: 2015-12-18 15:19:17 |
