The first half of the film takes place at Culver city (Carrell speedway) and the second half at Indianopolis. (Lot's of "Specials" around in those days .. ..Sounds really good.! (I do go to some local classic car shows ...but managed to miss the big Bromley pageant of Motoring a couple of weeks ago.!! ..It was great last year..several hundred cars ..I took loads of photo's ...& was ready this year with a digital camera.!! ...but as said...I Missed it.!!! ..yes easily available (..I got mine as three films on one dvd ..with 'Wild Ride' and 'the fast and the furious' ...good value for a lot of old race cars.! ) |

Some of the Indy cars are from 1949 race though can't match them all from gallery photos. Others may be 1948, but the unknowns do not match there either. |
