The plate seems to be either PYC 397 or FYC 397.

 FYC is prewar, about 1937. (Memory only book not close.)

No, found book, Somersetshire, 1942, PYC is 7/53.

That Morris is not a 1000, small window in the hood, MM or Series 2? Both types overlapped in 1953, and from that view I don’t think you can tell which it is.
