The grey saloon on the left.

My first impression was a Rover but I think its possibly a larger car.

More likely a Bentley - a 3 1/2 litre or maybe a 4 1/4 from the mid to late 1930s. Note the disc covers on the wire wheels.

... and the huge headlights!

So does that look to be a Bentley badge (wings?) on the rear wheel cover?

I think it will be very hard to nail this one down exactly. It is hard to find pictures of classic cars taken fron other than the front three quarter. With Bentleys, being mostly custom or semi-cutom bodies there are few clues to the year. I don't think this car has a Park Ward body but it might be a Mulliner. Can anybody check on the plate?

The line of the boot is similar to this one /vehicle_63079-Bentley-41-4-Litre-1936.html but the roof line certainly isn't. By the way was that other one resolved? We need to find someone who is an expert on those pre-war British body builders!

It is a 1937 Bentley 4¼ litre, anyway, and it's still with us. Ignore the date of first registration, BTW: I've explained that elsewhere.

EKE617 is the registration of Bentley 4 1/4 litre Sports Saloon by Park Ward Ch. B10KT, delivered 09/1937 to Dr. Charles Euclid. Car later went to Thailand for use by a member of the Thai Royal Family. Now back in the UK.

Just a note IMHO: this car should be placed with the other Bentley 4 1/4L cars, many of which have the same coach work, Park Ward Sport Saloon (3rd version if anyone cares).
