Not a terribly successful re-enactment of a mostly suicide mission by the Royal Marines that took sometime in 1942. Some backgroundmobiles: -> -> -> (not the convertible in the middle) -> -> For once a British locomotive: Movie magic: |

The locomotive is a London and South Western Railway Class T9 4-4-0, designed by Dugald Drummond, built 1899, scrapped 1961. 66 were constructed for express passenger work, they could reach 85mph, and were thus given the nickname “Greyhound” as a class. It is showing an anachronistic British Railways number. B.R. Was not formed until 1948, well after the end of WW2. -- Last edit: 2023-10-18 19:24:34 |
