Riley 12/6 Kestrel? |

I do not think that we can see enough of the car to say for sure what it is, other than a 1930s Riley. The 12/6 was made as three different saloons, Mentone, Kestrel and Falcon, and we cannot say it is a 12/6 for sure since that had a 114" wheelbase and the four cylinder 11/2 litre could be had with a 112" wheelbase carrying similar bodies except the Mentone which had been replaced by the Merlin. |

Judging from the later radiator, wings, badge bar and bumper, this is either a 12/4 or 15/6 Kestrel. |

The original film footage appeared in the short film 'London Scrapbook' (1942) by the Ministry of Information / Crown Film Unit /vehicle.php?id=859394 |
