This is a Dodge. Paint is consistent with the US military. The front wheels that are visible would confirm its origin if I knew what to look for. |

This scene was the reenactment of the failed prison breakout and shootout between Mesrine, Mercier and armed guards that occurred at the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul Penitentiary at Laval, Quebec on the morning of the 3rd September 1972. Mesrine and Jean-Paul Mercier had previously broke out of the prison on the morning of the 21st August 1972 as a result of the way they treated and had originally planned to return to the prison to break out the remaining prisoners, but when they arrived, Mesrine and Mercier saw the area outside of the prison with extra armed guards as a result of Mesrine and Mercier's own breakout, resulting in a shootout with the guards. The shootout resulted in two guards wounded as well as both Mesrine and Mercier wounded. -- Last edit: 2019-11-10 15:56:08 |
