Looks like a Buick to me. |

1992-1996 Buick LeSabre |

And a Jeep Cherokee. |

I don't think there ever was a police package LeSabre????? |

Obviously not... Buicks are near-luxury cars, they don't use them for police crusiers. The film car coordiantor for this movie is clearly quite an idiot. -- Last edit: 2009-10-30 22:39:30 |

The film was mostly shot in New Zealand. Perhaps the car co-ordinator's budget didn't stretch to shipping cars over from the US and he had to make do with what he could find in New Zealand. -- Last edit: 2010-12-30 12:12:25 |

And film coordinators are always 'sooo' realistic with the vehicles they use in TV Shows and movies-- you have made my day taxiguy! Another TV show that regulary used Buicks (on purpose by the way) as Police cruisers was the USA network 90's crime-drama "Silk Stalkings" (1991-1999). Also, not all Buicks are near luxury cars. There are base-line models that are no more luxury than a Ford or Chevrolet. -- Last edit: 2009-11-01 03:17:41 |

According to General Motors Buick is a luxury model. Base or lower model Buicks usually still have more luxurious features than top of the line Chevrolets. |

Maybe General Motors list Buicks as a luxury car...and the LeSabre, Park Avenue, etc...are definitely more luxurious than Chevrolet or Fords. But, I've riden in and drove base line Buicks (Century) and they are not that much more luxurious than Chevys or Fords. |

But the Buicks are still slotted above Chevrolets . You want to talk about base line Buicks.....I had a Skyhawk and you can't get anymore base than that, but it was still nicer (as far as fit and finish and features) than any Cavalier. -- Last edit: 2009-11-01 05:45:58 |

I know Buicks are listed above Chevrolets. I just meant that there are Buick models (Century) that are not so "luxurious" that they're above being cop cars. I've known some city police forces that had some Centurys back in the early 90's. |

Sure, Police forces are free to use whatever vehicles they want to (we use some Jettas ,Camrys, Cobalts and Titans here) |

A lot of cop cars now are changing from the Crown Vic to the Dodge Charger. That makes me kind of sad...they took the Charger (one of the most awesome American "muscle" cars from the 60's and 70's) and turned it into a sedan-cop car! -- Last edit: 2009-11-01 06:38:43 |

I recall reading that the police in Aspen, Colorado, used to use Saabs. They later switched to Ford Explorers because Saabs were getting too expensive. |

In 1993 in Texas I've seen some Mazda RX7 as highway-patrol-cars. |

Mazda RX7...that's a new one! I've even seen Highway-Patrol cars as Camaros too. It just shows that many different cars/vehicles can be used by law enforcement, so taxiguy's statement of they never use Buicks as police cruisers is not true. I've seen some Centurys and even a LeSabre being used by police--although it is rare. -- Last edit: 2009-11-06 02:58:02 |

Yeah I figured this house is in New Zealand too, this maybe a silly or unrelated question, but can someone tell me the address of this house? This is if you live around the area. I really want to know because this house is beautiful. I know it's real because the architecture. I'm looking for it on satellite on Google Maps. |

I think the Dodge Charger is still sporty, even as a sedan. |
