Thornycroft Nubian in foreground. Fire truck in background looks very British in outline do we see more of it? |

Fairly sure background one is a Bedford TK with HCB Angus body of a style popular with civilian brigades and also supplied to RAF as a 'Domestic Tender' for fires in buildings and supporting crash tenders. What is the location of picture ? maybe a foreign air force . Worth an entry IMHO but I like fire engines ![]() PS -Sad Biker thats a Bedford J also by HCB Angus . ![]() -- Last edit: 2018-09-13 08:21:12 |

^ sad baker agreed recessed door handle and divided window sections as your picture, not a carryover TK. Chassis TJ based with forward control. |

I disagree because I believe you can see the vent panel for the mid mount TK engine. Door handles vary on these HCB Angus bodies according to client. S'pose it doesn't matter really though as not needing an id ![]() Strong chance the Thornycroft Nubian has Sun bodywork as cab is similar to this. ![]() -- Last edit: 2018-09-13 19:03:42 |

^ Paul Hollywood, please... No! TK yes... the vent panel is a must on any TK as access panels on both sides, for the engine which is set back for the under-seat location and for routine work. |
