Was the 'New Look' ever available as a coach with a row of roof windows ? This look different. A bit like a 'Buffalo' coach, except it didn't exist yet at the time. Also, 'The Darton School' sign probably covers another signage. Perhaps this scene was shot in Germany. |

If filmed in Germany the sign would be in German. That type of GMC New Look was used during the World's Fair in NYC in the sixties. |

That's not a GMC New Look. Those are oval standee windows similar to an Old Look or PCC. The "Skyview" windows added to New Looks for the World's Fair curved up into the roof and were above the regular New Look standee windows. The World's Fair New Looks also had typical two-piece New Look side windows, not the three piece window in this picture. GMC parlor buses also has two-piece sliding windows. |

I had a look at this on YouTube and took a couple of screencaps, this is the closest you get to seeing the rear - do these help? Alternatively view the sequence from 42:32 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-uKLgNwcCY -- Last edit: 2019-01-15 23:56:14 |

I watched the video and looked at the thumbs. A shot of the front, which is not available, would help. I am thinking it might be this. http://www.coachbuilt.com/bui/w/wayne/oo1961Wayne02.jpg a Wayne -- Last edit: 2019-01-19 01:22:23 |
