I have commented 'in full' on the other Wasp illustrated. This one shows one of the small front wheel drum brakes. These were hydraulic, but that was not altogether a good thing in the 1930's. There was of course no servo, and they would have had a very 'dead' feel by modern standards as well as being decidedly feeble! One hopes the lady is on particularly good terms with the gentleman since if he takes here for a drive they will be necessarily rubbing shoulders and possibly other parts of their anatomies in addition. My own 1933 Talbot is supposedly a five seater, with three accommodated on the back seat. That is quite possible- but another case of very close company. Clearly motorists were given certain exemptions from the rather restictive moral 'code of conduct' of the day!

Ah but people were shorter and thinner in the 30s!
