That's pretty unique thing in Czechoslovakia. No better view. |

Don't need one, it's an LD. |

If I understand these correctly, film date means this can only be Austin - early Morris had different grille until 1957 facelift, when both makes took the grille shown here. But some confusion about start dates - LDs were made in Morris (ex-Wolseley) plant in Birmingham from 1952 but only Morris at first, with Austin badged not starting until Dec 54 (after BMC merger had kicked in). So Morris = 52+, Austin 55+ (and we have a handful of "52"s to correct). Is this all correct?? |

Early version Morris LD with Morris 'J type' vertical grille November 1952 export only - Mid 1953 UK sales. This cannot be confused with the later horizontal grilles both Austin or Morris. https://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p1062567003/h386B477F#h386b477f Morris LD horizontal trapezoid grille - September 1954 ('55 model year). Austin LD horizontal rectangular grille - September 1954 for the introduction of the Austin grille ('55 model year). /vehicle.php?id=174922 Morris had the commonised Austin/Morris grille from about 1966, nothing I think to determine exactly when, just a conclusion based on vans identified. |
