Has plate ending .. 4649. Betty's is a famous Yorkshire institution, originally established in nearby Harrogate, and well-known for posh catering. No idea if this is a real Betty's van - or is it this Austin again with new logos?? |

Thumb 2 shows the windscreen and scuttle, which display, in my opinion, the characteristic shape of a Morris-Commercial of the later twenties or early thirties. The radiator top also has sharper cornered shoulders than would a contemporary Austin. Looking up the history of Betty’s shows only two vans, a Bedford, and something rather American looking with integral coachwork, Ford V8, maybe? If you want to visit Harrogate I can recommend an excellent hotel, just like Fawlty Towers, but bigger. Link to "www.booking.com" -- Last edit: 2021-10-17 16:23:35 |

From the limited amount seen, similar to this https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25450/lot/95/ Unless a further appearance shows otherwise a 1924-1931 Morris-Commercial 1-Ton [T-type], it looks not to be a replica but the sign-written sides are almost certainly added by the production company. -- Last edit: 2021-10-18 18:55:40 |

I concur this is an LT Van. Its full 20CWT ton capacity though. Contrary to the Brightwells page - its not the only known one with original bodywork. PX9155 has an original van body. |
