Comment ça LR3 ? |

LR3 is the new Discovery's US name. |

So I discovered that |

It is a left-hand drive version, but the numberplates are not US-style. All other cars in that episode are European, too, and have numberplates like in this image: /vehicle_15687-Mini-Cooper.html The shape and lettering looks European, but so far I cannot match it. Perhaps it is a movie fake. Anyway I suppose that this episode is taking place in Europe, therefore the name 'Discovery' would be correct. Can anyone confirm that? |

For sure they are fake plates. We already had the case with other vehicles of this series. Lots of episodes are supposed to be in various countries, but all are made in the USA, with US models then. |

I think we already discussed the naming conventions. If I remember correctly -- please correct me if I am wrong -- we use the brand and model name of the country where the film is supposed to take place, if that is not known, the place where the film was made (i.e. the car was bought/rented), and if even that is unclear the name used in the country of origin of the car. In all countries except the USA and Canada the name is 'Discovery' or 'Discovery 3'. I would stick to that. |

If I remember well, we were using the name of the car when it was sure, else it was the name where the movie is supposed to be. In this case it is sure that it is in the USA that the series is made. I do not really care of which solution we select, but we must stay coherent: in this series we renamed the VW Bora to Jetta because it was made in the USA though the scene was supposed to be in Brazil |

Ford/Land-Rover Chassis Code added, [L319] (Applies to 'Discovery 3' and 'LR3'). |

If you add it to all L-R you do not have to put a comment each time, as it is missing for most of them (except if you modify an existing info) |

OK ...thanks for that. |
